Today’s leadership training, coaching, and developmental programs mainly focus on the individual. While self-reflection, knowledge updating, and communication skill enhancement are crucial, leadership is fundamentally about more than just one person. It builds on human interaction and requires at least two people to be considered leadership.

Focusing exclusively on individual leaders may lead to a limited viewpoint and conflicting objectives. To enhance how leaders strategize, set goals, solve problems, make decisions, and communicate, we need to examine the relationship between the leader and their followers. Ideally, we should concentrate on a group of people, a team. This is where real leadership improvement can happen.
